In seinem Designprojekt „Imker mit Drohne“ setzt sich
der Kommunikationsdesigner Thilo Ramme kritisch mit der Rüstungsindustrie auseinander. Er
präsentiert eine Recherche, die er während seinem Studiums zum Konzern Rheinmetall durchgeführt hat. Konkret beschäftigt sich seine Installation mit der Pressemitteilung des Konzerns
mehrere Imker Stationen auf ihrem Betriebsgelände zu installieren. Hiermit möchte der Konzern
seine grüne Seite zeigen.Thilo Ramme stellt sich mit seiner Arbeit die Frage: Wie bitte?? Wie passen Rüstung und Naturschutz zusammen? Ist es Rheinmetall ernst mit Naturschutz oder geht es
nur um „grüne“ Publicity in Zeiten des Krieges in Europa?
Der zweite Teil der Ausstellung kommt vom Produktdesigner Lukas Luman. Er stellt T-Shirts, Comics, Druckprodukte und Logos, die er zum Themenkomplex Saarländische Metallindustrie
kreiert hat, aus. Die Designprodukte reflektieren die Vergangenheit und die Gegenwart des Saarlandes als Kohle und Schwermetall Standort. Seine Designs sind angelehnt an der Subkultur des Heavy Metals. „Das Saarland ist nicht nur wegen seinem hochwertigen Stahl bekannt, es hat
auch eine der größten Metalband Dichte in Deutschland.“Seine Arbeit verbindet Popkultur mit der hiesigen Industriekultur auf neuartige Art und Weise.

In his design project “Beekeeper with Drone”
communication designer Thilo Ramme takes a critical look at the armaments industry. He presents a research that he carried out on the Rheinmetall Group during his studies. Specifically, his installation deals with the company's press release to install several beekeeping stations on their premises. The Group would like to show your green side.
With his work, Thilo Ramme asks the question: Excuse me? How do armor and conservation go together? Is Rheinmetall serious about green culture or is it just a scam?
The second part of the exhibition comes from product designer Lukas Luman. He provides T-shirts, comics, printed products and logos, which he creates on the topic of the Saarland metal industry. The design products reflect the past and present of Saarland as a coal and heavy metal location. His designs are inspired by the heavy metal subculture. "The Saarland is not only known for its high-quality steel, it has also one of the largest concentration of metal bands in Germany.”
His work combines pop culture and local industrial culture in a new way.
